Formed in 1989, we are one of the oldest Department 56 collectors club in the United States. Founded by local collectors of Department 56 villages that live in the greater Chesapeake Bay area. We welcome new members to join other local collectors to exchange ideas, views and information regarding one of America's fastest growing collectibles.

The Chesapeake 56 club holds meetings every 1st. Sunday of every Even Month at one of our members' house, starting at 1:30 p.m. At our meetings we cover a variety of subjects including new introduction pieces and series, retired items local dealer information, display tips, secondary market values, insurance and club outings, etc. Meetings are informal and attendance is voluntary but we do not want you to miss out on the many activities that the club sponsors. We publish a newsletter called the Chesapeake Crier which is sent to members 6 times a year, in odd months.

We are a charter member of the National Council of 56 Clubs. Our club is one of the sponsoring clubs of the PA5-6000 Gathering which will be held in Lancaster, Pa. in May of 2000.

This is a photo of the North Pole display basket which was donated to the PA5-6000 Gathering and was raffled off at the gathering held in 1998 at Lancaster, Pa. All of the Department 56 buildings in the display basket have had to be retired buildings.
